Off to Be Bionic

I thought I'd get a chance for a nice, newsy post before I went off for knee replacement, but no such luck. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes, and send some extra potent vibes to St. Joseph's Hospital, Bangor, Maine, tomorrow (Monday) at 7:30 a.m. EDT.

Tata for now... back in about a week, I imagine.

What, you don't have internet access at the hospital? Shocking. I was expecting you to update your blog from the hospital bed, you know. :P

Hope it all went well!

Hope everything went smoothly and the knee is serviceable soon!

I hope your surgery went well and your recovery is speedy... Useful thing a titanium knee!

I stopped by to let you know I just started and finished your book (one sitting, no lunch and a missed dentist appointment) and was absolutely captivated! I'm a children's librarian and I can't wait to go to work tomorrow and recommend it to every child I meet!

Ouch. As a mailwoman I've seen several co-workers go thru this. Amazing how we take knees for granted. I visited a Ukrainian titanium mine once - who'd think it might end up in someone's North American knee. All the best!

Hi Ellen,

How is the new knee holding up? Are you running down hills yet?

Hope everything is fine. We're thinking about you!

Hi, Ellen! Hope things are going all right with you!

Things couldn't be better for me, because I just got the best pair of purple flip-flops, and it's warm enough to wear them!
